Ambient Intelligence is an interesting research application area for Multi-Agent Systems, in general, and for Agent-Oriented Software Engineering, in particular. In this paper, we focus on the methodological support that agent-oriented methodologies can provide to such kind of systems: we discuss HomeManager, an application for the control of an intelligent home designed through the SODA agent-oriented methodology. There, the house is seen as an intelligent environment made of independent, distributed devices, each equipped with an agent to support the user's goals and tasks.

Abstract
Ambient Intelligence is an interesting research application area for Multi-Agent Systems, in general, and for Agent-Oriented Software Engineering, in particular. In this paper, we focus on the methodological support that agent-oriented methodologies can provide to such kind of systems: we discuss HomeManager, an application for the control of an intelligent home designed through the SODA agent-oriented methodology. There, the house is seen as an intelligent environment made of independent, distributed devices, each equipped with an agent to support the user's goals and tasks.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
