Gli orientamenti del Comitato per il controllo di Meta in tema di libertà religiosa: tutela dell’utente o efficace strumento di policy-making?

The digital revolution has created new spaces in which fundamental rights can be exercised, among them freedom of expression and freedom of religious can be pointed out. However, Meta’s para-jurisdictional body, the Oversight board, was initially conceived to protect these user freedoms, in practice, the Board’s functioning is mainly aimed at implementing the company’s code of conduct. In this paper is been carried out an analysis of the Oversight board’s decisions which shows how the function of providing suggestions to regulate Meta's social media conduct surpasses the one aim to protect the individual rights.
