Fecal incontinence is a frequent issue in children especially ones affected by anorectal malformation, Hirschsprung disease, and spinal problems. The management of fecal incontinence is based on medications and bowel management. In patients who are nonresponders to standard treatment, the echo-assisted intersphincteric autologous microfragmented adipose tissue injection could be proposed to help these patients control bowel movements. The endoanal ultrasound is a useful tool to guarantee a more precise injection in the intersphincteric plane.

Abstract
Fecal incontinence is a frequent issue in children especially ones affected by anorectal malformation, Hirschsprung disease, and spinal problems. The management of fecal incontinence is based on medications and bowel management. In patients who are nonresponders to standard treatment, the echo-assisted intersphincteric autologous microfragmented adipose tissue injection could be proposed to help these patients control bowel movements. The endoanal ultrasound is a useful tool to guarantee a more precise injection in the intersphincteric plane.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
