Catalysts for syngas production with innovative structure were obtained by hydrotalcite-type (HT) precursors using silicate as interlayer anions. The Rh catalys prepared by HT silicate was more active and selective than the one prepared by carbonates. The Rh0.15/Ni8/Mg60/Al31.85 catalyst showed the most interesting result in terms of syngas yield and it was tested in a pilot plant. The tests confirmed its high activity and stability even after 18 days of time-on-stream
