In this chapter, we ask what features of the urban context are subjectively perceived by creative workers as enabling factors or inhibiting for their work. To address this issue, we present a qualitative study based on 210 interviews to creative workers living in a medium-sized city in northern Italy, Reggio Emilia. We add to the extant literature micro, subjective perspective that illuminates the urban dimensions - quality of life, city identity, and networks - perceived as more relevant by creative workers, and how they are evaluated by creative individuals.

Abstract
In this chapter, we ask what features of the urban context are subjectively perceived by creative workers as enabling factors or inhibiting for their work. To address this issue, we present a qualitative study based on 210 interviews to creative workers living in a medium-sized city in northern Italy, Reggio Emilia. We add to the extant literature micro, subjective perspective that illuminates the urban dimensions - quality of life, city identity, and networks - perceived as more relevant by creative workers, and how they are evaluated by creative individuals.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
