The chapter explores the worlds of youth participation in the artistic-cultural sector as examples of promoting social cohesion in the arenas of everyday life, according to a vision that conceives participation as a 'laboratory' of reconstruction of the social bond. In this perspective, the reference to the perspective of mediation seems particularly fruitful. Although mediation is often associated with its professional side, can constitute an appropriate analytical dimension for the interpretation of the dynamics taking place in contemporary society. The chapter is organized into three main sections. The first introduces the theoretical-conceptual framework and focuses on two main analytical dimensions: youth participation in the sphere of everyday life and the analysis of the process of individualization and fragmentation of social ties through the lens of mediation, mobilizing the concept of recognition and defining social bond. The second section aims at presenting the results of an empirical research on youth participation in the artistic-cultural sector, as an example of youth participation in everyday life contexts with a focus on the dynamics of sociality and construction of social ties. Finally, the third section summarizes the main issues that emerged in the discussion of the theoretical and empirical aspects of the analysis.
