The paper offers a brief analysis of witchcraft and witches'representation in contemporary culture through the heuristic tools of medievalism, the discipline that studies "the continuing process of creating the Middle Ages", which is one of the most relevant contemporary cultural phenomena. The 'medieval' witch is medievalism since what we believe to be the medieval witch did not exist in this form in the historical Middle Ages. Medievalism can provide interpretative keys to investigate witchcraft and witches' dislocation.
