The lung can be involved in a variety of malignant lymphomas, either primarily or in the course of a systemic disease. Primary lung lymphomas comprise all the clonal lymp - hoid processes involving mainly the lung parenchyma and/or large airways without extension to the extrapulmonary sites at the diagnosis or during the 3 months after the diagnosis; hilar or mediastinal lymph nodes may be enlarged but the neoplastic burden is more evident in the lung tissue.
