Competitive analysis of tourism destinations postulates that success in international competition depends on the “drivers” of competitiveness which are based on a set of business related features and other factors such as human resources and infrastructures ; for the tourism industry the main factor conditions are landscape, historical heritage, hotel supply and leisure opportunities . In this paper we outline a model of destination competitiveness enlighting the role of product mix , of destination organisation and of accessibility for the analysis of the international competitiveness of tourism destinations.
