This special issue of the "Continental Philosophy Review", entitled "Varieties of the Lifeworld: Phenomenology and Aesthetic Experience" and edited by Iulian Apostolescu and Stefano Marino, includes eight essays focused on the phenomenological concept of the Lifeworld (Lebenswelt), dealing with Husserl, Heidegger and the development of the phenomenological movement until today, and especially aiming at investigating the relevance of the concept of the lifeworld for a philosophical inquiry into aesthetic experience.
