In 2014 a small group of papyri on agonistics was published in the Oxyrhynchus serie. This paper comments and suggests different interpretations of some aspects for two of them, P.Oxy. 79, 5205 and 5209, respectively the copy of an honorary inscription for Apion, the famous writer enemy of the Alexandrian Jews, and a contract concerning a wrestling match.
