The situation created as a result of the increases in food prices over the last two years, especially those defined as basic, is giving food for thought with regards the possible measures to be taken to face a scenario which is completely new and profoundly different whit regards to the recent past. We are facing a situation which demands a global and complex approach, we must therefore take into account the differences between the very diverse areas of the world in terms of development, infrastructure and resources. The definition of the measures which should be adopted to face the current state of crisis require the participation of developed and developing countries, if we are to build a global strategy which could provide immediate answers to the emergency, and which would allow us in the mid and long terms to increase global production capacity and guarantee that the markets would work adequately.

Abstract
The situation created as a result of the increases in food prices over the last two years, especially those defined as basic, is giving food for thought with regards the possible measures to be taken to face a scenario which is completely new and profoundly different whit regards to the recent past. In this recent past certain trends have been observed which will have long term effect. We have been observed which will have long term effects. We are facing a situation which demands a global and complex approach, we must therefore take into account the differences between the very diverse areas of the world in terms of development, infrastructure and resources. The definition of the measures which should be adopted to face the current state of crisis require the participation of developed and developing countries, if we are to build a global strategy which could provide immediate answers to the emergency, and which would allow us in the mid and long terms to increase global production capacity and guarantee that the markets would work adequately.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
