Abstract
As for any microorganism, the possibility of genetically engineering streptococci is important for studying their biology. Genetic manipulation of streptococci has many applications, especially in the study of pathogenicity and in biotechnology. In particular, we are interested in constructing stable recombinant strains of nonpathogenic streptococci that express on the surface heterologous antigens, to be used as live vectors for vaccmes.File in questo prodotto:
