This paper deals with teachers' music knowledge and our hypothesis is that music knowledge can be investigated as a social and psychological construction as described by the theory of social representations (Moscovici 1981).W have already realised a study with university students that will become general teachers in primary school in Italy. In this paper we firstly compare these results with the results carried out in France and Brazil.
