Clinical diagnosis of nail disorders is often difficult since different diseases produce nail signs that are quite similar. Most available books on nails describe the different nail disorders but are difficult to consult for doctors who are not specifically interested on nails. The purpose of this book is to provide the differential diagnosis of nail disease starting from the clinical evaluation, this will permit to doctors who are approaching nails for the first time to see all the nail diseases that can cause that particular sign and to know which exams are important to reach the final diagnosis. Therapy for each disorder is provided. This book is designed to provide all dermatologists with the tools to diagnose nail disorders by clinical signs. Certain important nail signs will be illustrated by clinical pictures and in some cases schematics. Then with this information the clinician will be on his/her way to obtaining the proper diagnosis. With the correct diagnosis, it is easier to give the best therapy. This book will offer dermatologists a simple and quick approach to the diagnosis and management of nail disorders.
