The OPT-IN Capacity building is based on the cooperation between Italian, Spanish, Colombian, and Ecuadorian higher education institutions. The general objective of project is to develop a transnational and intercultural knowledge able to support the peace process and strengthen sustainability and care for natural resources, fostering integration Latin America and Europe. This objective will be pursued through an innovative academic offer of educational programs in social, political and legal sciences of the Latin American partners. The project aims to fill an educational gap in Latin American postgraduate academic programs, where legal or political comparison is not included as a science nor as a specific methodology for the study of law and international relations. From this perspective, its main target is the establishment of an international master programme focused on comparative methodology. The multidiscipinary curriculum combines the following subjects: comparative law, EU law, regional systems of protection of human rights, judicial dialogue, language theory and translation, comparative legal and political systems, legal anthropology, transnational law and cultural studies.

The project aims to fill an educational gap in Latin American postgraduate academic programs, where legal or political comparison is not included as a science nor as a specific methodology for the study of law and international relations. From this perspective, its main target is the establishment of an international master programme focused on comparative methodology.
