Diversity (ISSN 1424-2818) is an international and interdisciplinary journal of science concerning biodiversity concepts and applications, biodiversity assessment and biodiversity preservation. It is focused on organismic and molecular diversity. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and Interesting Images in the regular issues. Special Issues on a selection of relevant topics supplement the regular submissions. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. Therefore, there is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are in addition two unique features: Comments on any related papers published in this journal and other journals can be published as short letters. Electronic files regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, will be deposited as supplementary material.
