A low-cost and non-invasive method for remote monitoring deformations of a structure, which method is supposed to couple at least one pair of RFID tags to the structure in its respective points, interrogate at radio frequency the RFID tags in a way such that an electromagnetic field resulting from a combination of the electromagnetic fields produced individually from each RFID tags , at a certain distance (DINF) from the structure , is generated in response to this interrogation; measure the resulting electromagnetic field at this distance (DINF) from the structure to obtain measurements of the resulting electromagnetic field and to determine the deformation of the structure , as a function of the measurements of the resulting electromagnetic field.
