Logistic Design (LD) LogOptimizer is a software platform for the simultaneous design and optimization of a logistic network, as a network of entities (e.g. suppliers, carriers, production plants, distribution centers, and retailers) where material and information flow. This tool supports both the strategic design of a logistic chain (i.e. the determination of the best configuration of the network in terms of number of entities, their location, storage capacity, transportation modes, etc.) and the operational planning activity. In operational planning main decisions deal with transportation issues and in particular with trips definition, vehicle assignment to trips, vehicle loading and vehicle routing.
