This chapter provides examples and research ideas of how economics experiments can be applied to traditional topics in law and economics, namely: bargaining and the Coase theorem; settlement and litigation; tort law and liability rules. Those topics have been extensively analysed from a theoretical perspective, but have seen different research progress in terms of their experimental applications. This chapter seeks to provide law and economics scholars some examples on how they can incorporate experiments in their work; and equally, to reach experimental economists, to show how their toolkit can be applied to questions in traditional legal domains.

Abstract
This chapter provides examples and research ideas of how economics experiments can be applied to traditional topics in law and economics, namely: bargaining and the Coase theorem; settlement and litigation; tort law and liability rules. Those topics have been extensively analysed from a theoretical perspective, but have seen different research progress in terms of their experimental applications. This chapter seeks to provide law and economics scholars some examples on how they can incorporate experiments in their work; and equally, to reach experimental economists, to show how their toolkit can be applied to questions in traditional legal domains.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
