Abstract
The relationships between Italian fashion creators Elsa Schiaparelli and the fascist regime. Though her relations with the regime had deteriorated, Italian dressmakers remained faithful purchasers from her Paris maison, including Gandini of Milan and Battilocchi of Rome. In spite of tensions with the regime, Italian magazines continued to publish her creations, sometimes openly and sometimes anonymously, the latter practice becoming widespread with intensification of the Italianisation of fashion policy in the second half of the 1930s.File in questo prodotto:
