The chapter explores the barely recognised queer dimensions of Brexit. It considers the possible risks and opportunities for queer communities in the UK and in Europe following Brexit. More specifically, in relation to the sections written by C. Danisi, they investigate the impact of Brexit on the EU's decision-making process by looking at the adoption process of the EU equality legislation currently into force. They also discuss the impact of Brexit on rights granted under EU law to UK's citizens by drawing on the possibility of withdrawal from human rights treaties under international law.

Abstract
The chapter explores the barely recognised queer dimensions of Brexit. It considers the possible risks and opportunities for queer communities in the UK and in Europe following Brexit. More specifically, in relation to the sections written by C. Danisi, they investigate the impact of Brexit on the EU's decision-making process by looking at the adoption process of the EU equality legislation currently into force. They also discuss the impact of Brexit on rights granted under EU law to UK's citizens by drawing on the possibility of withdrawal from human rights treaties under international law.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
