La Utopia come sueno, el sueno come Utopia

In this article the author investigates the device of the dream in two Nineteenth Century Western literary utopias. The article is divided in two parts : in the first the author analyses affinities between the utopian paradigm and the oneiric experience. In the second /News from Nowhere by William Morris /and / Looking Backwards /by Edward Bellamy are examined in order to demonstrate the strict interconnection between form and content and how the technical device of dream shapes the utopian content.
