The expression of inducible and constitutive forms of HSP70s, respectively HSP70 and HSC70, were investigated in skin samples of pathological and healthy tissues (28 dogs of different ages and sex). HSP70 increased in 54.3% (p<0.01) of pathological tissues compared to healthy ones, while HSC70 was characterized by a strong augment in 91.4% of diseased tissues (p<0.01). Parallel a detailed study of HSP70s in dogs with trichoblastoma by 2DE showed a different pattern between healthy and pathologic tissues, with a clear overexpression of HSP70 and HSC70 in presence of neoplasms.
