The seventeenth Congress of the International Association for Training and Research in Family Education (AIFREF) took place in Prague in May 2017. Its theme was: "The quality of life of the child". Why was this theme a good one to deal with? It made sense because all current surveys and research converge to affirm that quality of life promotes social progress and the emancipation of the individual, reduces the effects of any harmful environment and increases equality of opportunity between children.
