The article explores the sermons of Isaac Cantarini, a Jewish physician and preacher who lived and worked in Padua in the second half of seventeenth century. The author places Cantarini's preaching against the backdrop of Catholic baroque preaching, paying also due attention to the differences between Christians and Jews in using 'sacred' space.
