As the title may suggest, this paper will discuss a “plural” reading of the state of studies on ancient wall painting. The Vesuvian sample, which was the subject of the conference, is seen in perspective, within a broader reasearch area that has developed increasingly during the last thirty years. Following the “plural” approach, the discussion will deal with the main research subjects, going from archaeosciences to archaeotechnics, from archaeology to archaeometry, and from this to archaeography.

Abstract
As the title may suggest, this paper will discuss a “plural” reading of the state of studies on ancient wall painting. The Vesuvian sample, which was the subject of the conference, is seen in perspective, within a broader reasearch area that has developed increasingly during the last thirty years. Following the “plural” approach, the discussion will deal with the main research subjects, going from archaeosciences to archaeotechnics, from archaeology to archaeometry, and from this to archaeography.File in questo prodotto:
