The fort, built by the Austrians in 1889, is a formidable example of military architecture and is an exemplary mode! of stereotomic construction. The restoration was a singular opportunity fora recuperation aimed at the conservation and the typological enhancement of this fortified structure and the surrounding landscape. The project aims at the reconstruction of the fallen walled parts, and a structural consolidation based on a principle of the abstraction, reintegration, and re-presentation of an evocative image.

Il forte, costruito nel 1889 dagli austriaci, è un formidabile esempio di architettura militare e rappresenta un modello esemplare di costruzione stereotomica. Il restauro ha costituito una singolare opportunità di recupero finalizzato alla conservazione e alla valorizzazione tipologica di questa architettura fortificata e del paesaggio circostante. Il progetto prevede la ricostruzione delle parti murarie crollate e un consolidamento strutturale, attraverso un principio di astrazione, di reintegrazione e ripresentazione di un'immagine evocativa.
