The article traces analogies in Carlo Michelstaedter's and Richard Rorty's conceptualisation of science by reference to intellecutal tradition and the history of ideas and via logical reconstruction, first by scrutizining epistemological, then sociological, and, finally, ethical dimensions and implications of their respectiv concepts of science.
