Abstract
Andreas Maier was honored with just as many prizes (including the "aspekte" literature prize, Wilhelm-Raabe-Prize) as he was attached labels: He was defined as "Heimat" -author, epigone of Thomas Bernhard, odd king of rumors. A closer look reveals a different picture: through his novels shines a socio-critical impetus that cannot be attributed to the different political camps, but rather poses own, genuine, and more fundamental questions about our social living together. The ethics and understanding of truth that Maier develops in his novels, both in their form and in the text-structuring motifs, are in the tradition of Meister Eckhart and the Italian philosopher and language critic Carlo Michelstaedter.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
