“Different ways of being a hero” deals with the figure of hero in the peculiar context of Narts tales. Generally the hero has certain characteristics that we can not find in these tales. Our analysis is mainly related to the figures of Soslan and Batradz, two of the protagonists of the cycle: their figures are analysed through some of the best known stories both in iron and digoron Ossetic.
