Franco Bacchelli, An Unedited Letter by Paolo Giovio to Gian Matteo Giberti The paper includes the edition, with a brief introduction, of an unpublished letter that Paolo Giovio wrote to Gian Matteo Giberti during the conclave which elected Pope Adrian VI. A short humorous Latin text by the same Giovio and an unknown Latin poem written by Girolamo Vida against Luther are also edited. The three texts are con- tained in a codex owned by a collaborator of Gian Matteo Giberti (ms Bologna, Biblioteca Universitaria, cod. 400).
