This paper describes a method based on scattering parameters for identifying model parameters of piezoelectric transducers. This modelling has the purpose of developing viscosity sensors with piezoelectric bimorphs by detecting variations in electrical and mechanical parameters (impedence, resonance, etc.). Experimental data show the validity of the approach in case of benthonitic clay suspensions

Abstract

This paper describes a method based on scattering parameters for identifying model parameters of piezoelectric transducers. This modelling has the purpose of developing viscosity sensors with piezoelectric bimorphs by detecting variations in electrical and mechanical parameters (impedence, resonance, etc.). Experimental data show the validity of the approach in case of benthonitic clay suspensions
