The European Union Project PARTNER, developed in the years 2004, 2005 and 2006 in collaboration with DLR (Berlin), RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, Roma), SIEMENS Austria (Wien), University of Tilburg (The Netherlands) and SIEMENS Informatica (Roma), had as main goal the development of effective algorithms, and the implementation of the corresponding computer codes, for the solution of the Train Timetabling Problem in a railway networks.
