The article discusses the approach developed by Professor Gherardo Gnoli, one of the greatest scholars in the field of Mazdean and Iranian studies, concerning the chronology of Zoroastrianism and the biography of the prophet Zoroaster. This study enters and analyses the subject of Religious and Iranian historiography and its controversies in the past fifty years.
