In her analysis of Italian Fascism, in a comparative perspective, Patrizia Dogliani takes in consideration two chronological dimensions of the specific topic: nationalists and fascists in a national case. On the one hand, that of evolution of relevant historiography and its enrichment thanks to new perspectives more open to a comparative approach. On the other, the chronology that, in a more strictkly historical sense, demonstates the existence of successive generastions of militants and leaders in the evolution of Italian fascism, and from nationalism to fascism in the rightwing "family". The outcome of this use of tandem viewpoints is a new vision of the main role of Mussolini, together with the verification of the existence of a very significant capacity for self-renovation showed by PNF with the final generation of a fascist movement that had appeared exhausted at the end of the 1930s.

Abstract
In her analysis of Italian Fascism, in a comparative perspective, Patrizia Dogliani takes in consideration two chronological dimensions of the specific topic: nationalists and fascists in a national case. On the one hand, that of evolution of relevant historiography and its enrichment thanks to new perspectives more open to a comparative approach. On the other, the chronology that, in a more strictkly historical sense, demonstates the existence of successive generastions of militants and leaders in the evolution of Italian fascism, and from nationalism to fascism in the rightwing "family". The outcome of this use of tandem viewpoints is a new vision of the main role of Mussolini, together with the verification of the existence of a very significant capacity for self-renovation showed by PNF with the final generation of a fascist movement that had appeared exhausted at the end of the 1930s.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
