Michel de Certeau (1925-1986) has been one of the most authoritative scholars of places and international “Cultural Studies”. His thinking about the “place” influenced very much Geographical and Urban theories in the end of the Eighties. This paper precisizes the deep connections among Certeau’s idea of place, his studies about memory, writing and representation, the influence of Lacan’s school, sometimes criticized by contemporary Geographers such as Doreen Massey and Nigel Thrift.
Un’analisi del ruolo decisivo svolto da Michel de Certeau (1925-1986) nell’analisi del concetto di luogo, di "non luogo", e della relazione profonda che la geografia (intesa come “scrittura dello spazio”) ha intrattenuto con le pratiche scritturali, della memoria e della rappresentazione spaziale.
