A process of urban regeneration should produce social inclusion and spatial effects. One of the new approaches used by different groups of architects to trigger regeneration processes in public spaces is the activation of the communities through urban laboratories of social innovation for the realization of temporary architectures. This article analizes the tools of co-planning and co-construction as motors of social innovation and institutional learning, investigating their role in urban regeneration. The purpose is to analyze some practices, hypothesizing their replicability in order to generate virtuous mechanisms. Two experiences will be shown: the construction of the Casa de la lluvia [de ideas) in Bogota (Colombia), and the regeneration of piazza Gasparotto in Padua (Italy). We want to illustrate the strategies implemented in these cases, identifying the features that the participation tools must have to be flexible and repeatable.

Abstract
We want to illustrate the strategies implemented in these cases, identifying the features that the participation tools must have to be flexible and repeatable.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
