In the area of tension between illusion and immersion, there is a broad spectrum of representation and publication forms of digital 3D reconstructions, which differ massively from each other not only in their perception, but also in their technical requirements and the effort involved in creating them. As an introduction, an overview of the various display options and their inherent properties and requirements should be given. The question to be examined is whether and to what extent the visualization method has an impact on the creation of the model itself and where the boundaries lie between scientifically sound, understandable decisions and those of a purely artistic nature. Surprisingly, this question has so far received little attention in the scientific discourse; the focus of the discourse is currently mainly questions of the comprehensibility of the modeling (mainly the question of linking the model and its sources). Finally, in transition to the following parts, the question should be discussed as to whether the standards generally regarded as desiderata for digital 3D reconstructions are used at all or not It would be more urgent to develop tools for integrating scientific discourse in order to make it citable, especially with regard to the retroactive handling of existing 3D models and visualizations, and thus to allow recourse to the existing standards of scientific work.

Abstract
Finally, in transition to the following parts, the question should be discussed as to whether the standards generally regarded as desiderata for digital 3D reconstructions are used at all or not It would be more urgent to develop tools for integrating scientific discourse in order to make it citable, especially with regard to the retroactive handling of existing 3D models and visualizations, and thus to allow recourse to the existing standards of scientific work.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
