Approfondito esame della decorazione trecentesca delle due cappelle absidali della chiesa di Sant'Agostino a Rimini, con nuove considerazioni circa il soggiorno riminese di Giotto e la conseguente costituzione di una scuola pittorica locale di grande importanza per tutta l'area adriatica.
