Abstract
Starting from the evidence provided by the small town of Cagli (PU), a former statio on the Via Flaminia, this paper suggests that the ‘crisis’ of the 3 rd century was an important factor in changing the landscape of Italy in Late Antiquity. Different opinions, focussing on ‘continuity’ instead of ‘crisis’, do not take into account the centrality of Italy when evaluating the Roman Imperial world.File in questo prodotto:
