The essay deals with the legacy of Italian humanism in French thought of the second half of the sixteenth century. A special focus concerns the features of a very "scientific humanism" or a "humanism of the quadrivium" in the French context, intended as a natural continuation of the literary, philosophical and political specificity of the Italian Renaissance.
L'articolo affronta l'eredità dell'umanesimo italiano nel pensiero riformatore francese del secondo Cinquecento. Particolare attenzione è data alla configurazione di un "umanesimo scientifico" o di un "umanesimo del quadrivio" in ambito francese, inteso da quanti se ne fanno promotori, come naturale continuazione della propensione letteraria, filosofica e polita del Rinascimento italiano.
