This paper aims to provide a contribution to a comparative analysis of the language, contents and meanings of construction and communication of the combined sets of iconographies related to the Milan Expo 2015 and Milan 1906. Both exhibitions are also noted for the symbolic imagery they adopted; both were unusual, surprising and a little curious in their respective contexts.
