The CMEMS Mediterranean Sea Analysis and Forecast system comprises an Ocean General Circulation Model based on NEMO v3.4 coupled with a Wave Model WW3 v3.14 and a variational data assimilation scheme (OceanVar) for temperature and salinity vertical profiles and satellite SLA along track data. The model has a 1/16˚ (ca. 6-7 km) horizontal grid resolution and 72 unevenly spaced vertical levels. It spans the time period 2013-2017 and it is daily updated.
