Measuring moisture in heterogeneous materials in a specimen or in a structure is a delicate task for several reasons. Examples of materials where this is relevant are e.g. bricks, concrete, (historic) masonry, etc. To measure moisture contents of heterogeneous materials requires special considerations. Some possibilities are described in this chapter.
