The chapter analyses the Museum of the "Museo de La Memoria Y Los Derechos Humanos" in Santiago, Chile. The Museum is a very interesting case of State Agency, under the Bachelet left wing government in 2010. The analysis shows how the complex political needs of the Chilean post-dictatorship situation informed the structure of the museum, its values system and the narrative embedded in it. The main points are investigated: the inscription of the Chilean military coup within the frame of the general Human Rights discourse, and the way historical events are defined in their temporal borders.
