This chapter explores the second core concept which stands out from the preliminary analysis as one of the key theme: Teaching approaches, defined as the general principles, pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom instruction. Five levels influencing teacher education practice, hierarchically structured among them are outlined. Then a pedagogical triangle is presented and a special focus is provided to the values-based approach.Implications of this approach to teacher agency in promoting school change are finally highlighted.
