El espacio de la lengua oral en cuatro gramáticas ochocentistas de español para italófonos

The main purpose of this paper is to show how much space is dedicated to spoken language in four nineteenth-century Spanish grammar textbooks for Italian users. These grammar textbooks are completely different from one another and were published in different moments of the century. The applied method allows us to have basic knowledge of the general situation: (i) all grammar books provide information about spoken language; (ii) Marin’s text includes the most varied information; (iii) Gaffino’s grammar focuses on the oral aspect of models of questions and answers; (iv) the originality of Zuccaro’s work lies in its interjections, and that of Gorra in its information on dialect.
