Non destructive investigations on postcards materials by Raman microscopy. The presence of Lapislazuli in the paper paste.

In this study we had carried out a non destructive analysis of three Postcards executed at the beginning of the XX century. We analised the pigment and the materials. For the purpose of a greater completeness, the analysis was extended also to the inks used for obliteration and writing (when they were present). Still interesting was the examination of the back face that enabled the observation of the paper used and lead to the identification of the presence of small grains of Lapis lazuli in the paper paste; they were present in both faces and in a very low concentration, not visible with naked eye.
