The studies presented in this book, whose main thread is the teaching of Spanish as a second language in different historical stages (from the 17th to the 19th century) and in different cultural and linguistic contexts, make a territory worth exploring from different perspectives: issues of metalanguage, aspects of textual and ecdotic production, as approaches that can lead to an exact knowledge from both a conceptual and philological point of view. The presentation of unpublished texts serves as a contextualization, which are thus included in a series of methodological and formative experiences through the comparison between different languages and grammatical traditions.
